PUBLIC ASSOCIATION "BELARUSIAN WOMEN'S UNION"
The public association "Belarusian Women's Union" was created on December 14, 1991 with the aim of helping to protect the rights and legitimate interests of women, ensuring a decent position for women in society, increasing the role of women in public, economic, social and cultural life.
Currently, more than 183 thousand women are members of the union, and there are over four thousand primary organizations.
The supreme body of the "Belarusian Women's Union" is a conference that meets at least once every 5 years. During the period between conferences, the permanent governing body is the Board of the BUG, the executive body is the Presidium of the BUG.
